in seattle, a heavy towing a bus was hit by a car and swerved onto and through the cement wall. the pictures are only so-so but the video is amazing- my condolences to all the opperators, its never easy to be involved in a fatal accident. so sad!

The Towing Meeting

The first monthly meeting of the Chicago Chapter of the Towing and Recovery Profesionals group will meet for the first time on Febuary 9th at 7pm. the meetup is not a sales or membership meeting and it is not assosiated with the PTROI. it is a group of towers, owners and opperators, that just want to get together and swap stories, show off pictures, and solve all of the worlds towing problems. i have started this meetup for the Chicago towing chapter and i encurage you to make one in your area. the first Chicago meeting will happen near O'Hare but i am waiting to get a better idea of how many people will attend so i can make the location at an appropriate size facility- im thinking a bar of some sort. check out: http://towing.meetup.com/ and you can get some more info and sign up for updates. you can also e-mail me for more info or to be put on the list. my e-mail is Towrecovery@aol.com its going to be like the bar at night at a tow show- every month. food, drink, beer, pictures, videos, friendship, ect... what else could you ask for?

Car on fence

On January 1 2006, Grand aberdeen had a car that lost controle and slamed into a fence. GAS (grand aberdeen service) had just compleated a Wreckmaster class a few months prior and opted to use one of their signature techniques- the Cruse loop. I have to say, this is probably one of the most flawlessly exicuted recoveries using this method i have ever seen in a real life situation. I was not there and i did not take these pictures, they were e-mailed to me from Jim at GAS
