the war protest

this

past weekend, there was a war protest in the city. i went to take pictures. i want to make the following statement:

I voted for Bush, and although i no longer completely agree or like with this administration, i do support it and i think they are better than what Kerry would have done. Furthermore, i 100% think we needed to go to war and get rid of Sadam Hussain, i think we screwed up by not having a proper exit strategy in place. I do not think the war is to the point of protesting the war. i support war, our troops, and the president.

I went to this protest because these protests have a tendency to bring out the nut jobs and that makes for great pics. this protest was no exception. there was a pre-march protest rally at a Chicago park. many people gathered to listen to speakers and pass out anti-American propaganda. many speakers spoke in foreign languages and i had no clue what was said. many people protested topics other than the war. most of the people at the rally were the type of people that would complain even if we were not at war. these goofs really should be sent to Cuba and see how they like it- see if Castro invites them to dinner.

After the rally, close to 10,000 people joined for a march down Michigan ave downtown. these were mostly average people that were not nut jobs, just apposed to the war. the protest was peaceful- this time. the police were out in force and guided the marchers in the proper direction. they were very impressive.

I want to say that although i 100% support everyone's right to free speech and protest, i am opposed and pissed off about these big protests because they waste so much of our tax dollars in security, police, maintenance, cleaning, ect. I propose that each marcher pays an admission charge- that will keep them home and the government won't waste my overtaxed tax dollars. STOP SPENDING MY TAX MONEY ON STUPID STUFF!!!!!!!!!!!!
