rollover- what a mess

We were coming back from towing a bus when we heard about a big rollover accident on I90/94 at 63^rd sty. a TT was coming around a slight curve and lost it. The mess was huge. In this part of the highway, there are local and express lanes in both directions, the locals are 3 lanes wide and the express are 4 lanes wide. The trailer set down on the divider wall and the load was spread over the local and express lanes. It was loaded with frozen chicken and beef- my guess is it was loaded from front to back and top to bottom. The tractor and trailer were both up righted by the time we got there. The tractor and trailer were pulled off to the next exit. IDOT and Airline Towing worked together to clear the road. They both cleaned up the spilled load with their end loaders. the accident happened around 8:30pm and the road was not opened until after 3am. There are many homeless people around this area and they were all over the accident area grabbing as much as they could- one couple made 3 trips with a shopping cart.
