IDOT Worker, Woman Injured In Ryan Crash

CHICAGO -- An Illinois Department of Transportation worker and a female driver were injured early Friday when a big rig lost control and hit three vehicles.

It happened on the Dan Ryan Expressway near 25th Street.

Officials said a van was pulled over on the shoulder of the road when an IDOT truck pulled up to help.

The big rig hit the back of the van and IDOT truck, swerved and hit another car.

The extent of the two victims' injuries was not released.
