Air bag rotator class in Indiana
We were honered to have Fred noble, one of the origional creators of the air bag, as an instructor.
the new air bag. These air bags, compressor, valve bank ect are the newest set to come into this country. Not only that, but they are the very first of its new design. They have done away with the crappy design where you twist / couple the hoses together, these slide on and lock together with the easy latches- 100 times better than the old design- it sucked. And these new bags have 1 inch hoses and fittings on the whole system, the old systems only offered inch, this means these will fill the bags 70% faster (or so I am told)- the best part of these new bags, that have never been used before the class, and we took them home with us, We (Lin-Mar) has the newest, best and only set of these type of airbags in the country!!!! Cool!!!
I almost forgot, the new air valve bank, can be adjusted in height so no more squatting! And the valve gages have been set at an angle for easier reading.
the "Tator"
Mr. Nobel got first class tratment!
the proper way to set airbags under a trailer
we got to play firemen. this was cool!
This was well worth it, we were given the opportunity to see what the FD has to do. These tools are very cool, and they get very heavy fast, but man, they are powerful!
they showed us how to use matjacks to lift the trailer to set in starters and then the main bags.
how to use mat jacks to fix a load shift
lifting a car with mat jacks
Day 2- the rotator class
Jeff Martin from diamond out of Brampton Ontarion Canada. they are both Wreckmaster 6/7's both top 10 wreckmasters and several other credentials to their names. these guys are the best. they know their stuff.
i couldn't decide which picture was better
One of the casualties we will play with today
Now, for the entire 2 day class, just next door, there was a mini-rodeo- female rodeo! I snuck over and took a few shots. The whole class there was shooting, cheering, and announcing in the background.
Rollover tanker, we lifted the wheels and set airbags under the tires. The point was to roll the tanker the wrong way to get the main lifting bags under the tank itself.
These blue bags are the new catch bags. They have been used in
Rollover dry box, we did an end roll on the whole unit- very cool
