Chicagoland Emergency Vehicle Show

This weekend, we participated in the 9^th annual Chicagoland Emergency Vehicle Show in North Aurora. We help with providing the demonstrations. We work with the North Aurora FD to set up scenarios where they can cut up cars and put out fires. We like to be apart of the show so we usually have a situation where they call the wreckers to lift the vehicles off of a trapped victim. This year we lifted a school bus off of a person. The show is already huge, but seems to get bigger every year. They have trophies for when nicest vehicles and they added a wrecker class this year (IDOT won)- next year it will be ours!! The SWAT team demonstrated. They had a guy who was suicidal. They sicked the dog on him and tear gassed the bus as they stormed inside. Very cool

We had a car crash into a bus with extrication needed. They had a firefighter sit in the drivers seat. Very cool. They even used a medivac helo to fly out the victim.

This demo, the FD set a fire in the rolled over bus, they put it out and called in the wreckers to lift it off of a trapped victim. They used a medivac helo again. IDOT and I decided to lift it strait up and continue with an end roll when the victim was taken away.
