wacked in the face...

yes, i got wacked in the face very hard by a tree trunk. At work today, I was assigned to the wood chipper crew. I inserted a tree trunk in to the chipper and it twisted and jumped up and wacked me in the left side chin and face, I almost fell down but cought my self but my hard hat went flying about 10 feet away. I was slightly bleeding and it hurt like heck, but despite my protest to “let me sit down for a few minuets an tuff it out”, I was sent to the clinic to have it looked at. Though the doc did not do any x-rays, he assured me I did not fracture anything (I hope not but I think he could have checked a bit more in depth) My teeth are fine and my jaw hurts. It will probably look black and blue in the morning. – if it hurts, I could call in sick but I will probably still go in, I hate wussing out. So we will see.

I have also decided to add a new addition to my site, I am going to do a bi-weekly safety meeting on here, a format for a safety meeting we can use in the towing shops. I have a long list of things I want to bring up. These topics will include how to do things, safety items, basics and advanced towing and recovery lessons, tips and tricks of the trade, and much much more. I may do one this weekend.
